Hardy Hartwig
Hardy has his degree in Mechanical Engineering (U of A) and considerable experience in business management, lean consulting and facilities engineering.
First bitten by the Lean bug while VP of Engineering in a manufacturing facility in 1999, Hardy is not just an avid student of Lean and the Toyota Production system, but also an experienced practitioner. Hardy has led a Lean transformation of a manufacturing facility over 7 years, followed by 5 years consulting as a Lean Advisor/Coach and more recently leading a Lean transformation in an office environment of an engineering design firm. Hardy’s approach to Lean coaching is strongly influenced by the more holistic perspective of the Toyota Production System with a focus on the development of people and processes.
Hardy grew up on a farm near Wetaskiwin and still maintains his rural roots, now residing near Gwynne, Alberta with his wife and two children. His passion for motorsports has motocross, trail riding and snowmobiling atop his favorite recreational activities.
